CMRRA have increased productivity by 82% since working with Microsoft latest technologies

As you are aware, CMRRA (Canadian Musical Reproduction Rights Agency Ltd)  partnered with Spanish Point Technologies to design and build CMRRA’s new cloud based Licensing and Royalty Distribution System (LDS) using the latest Microsoft technologies.  Today, this new system is benefitting our music publisher clients who are seeing increased royalty distributions as a result of our expanded matching capabilities.

One of the most recent improvements relates to licensing and distribution of physical product for Indie labels using LDS.  Due to data connectivity, between the licensing of works and royalty processing, we have seen an 82% increase in productivity in this area. All of our processes are structured around this concept of data connectivity, resulting in greater efficiencies and improved reporting for rightsholders.  Sandra Nettleton, Director, Licensing and Royalties, points out that the efficiencies created by this new royalty process means that staff can focus on other priority tasks where needed.

Congratulations to Sandra and her team!  While CMRRA focuses primarily these days on the efficient distribution of online royalties, we also are pleased to be able to look for new efficiencies in all areas of distribution.
